I'm Gary,

Gary is an artist and author from the pacific northwest. Ever since his high school years, he has produced works of art, in the form of drawings paintings, photos, or simple- sketches.   

He has traveled throughout the United States showing and selling his artwork in locations where art shows were being held in many towns near where he found jobs. Today he has works of art in many other nations.   He loves to say that he never passed up a tourist trap.   

Most of his paintings have been created with acrylics, and he photographs and sketches things he is thinking of drawing or painting.   His studio has a good number of his works, however many original pieces were lost in a fire in 1997.   

He is a single father with twin adult daughters, who he never sees enough of, and lives with his adopted buddy, Nikko. A cross between a Husky and an Old English Sheep Dog.   

He has been involved in the creation of book covers for his fantasy series, “Imperealisity.” Which he writes under the name of Gary Wayne.   Please enjoy what Mr. Downing has created and we hope you can see some of those memories of the locations he has visited and his daughters, in photos or paintings.
